Where to stick it

Most people put it on the back of their phone case, so they can share their details by holding their phone against someone else’s. It also works on a notebook, a desk or a reception counter. Pick a clean, flat, non-metal surface: metal directly behind an NFC sticker can stop phones reading it.

Putting it on

The sticker isn’t printed, so there’s nothing to fade. Wipe the surface free of dust and grease, then press the sticker down firmly for a few seconds. Once it’s in place, try not to peel it off and re-stick it, which weakens the adhesive.

NFC sticker questions

Is an NFC sticker the same as an NFC tag?

Yes. An NFC sticker is an NFC tag with an adhesive back. Ours opens your Cardly.ae digital card, and you can point it at a different digital card from your dashboard whenever you like.

Can I stick it on a metal phone case or laptop lid?

It’s best not to. Metal directly behind an NFC sticker can block the signal, so a plastic, silicone or leather case works better. If your case or laptop is metal, put the sticker somewhere else, such as a notebook, desk or counter.

Does the sticker have my name on it?

No. Stickers aren’t printed — they arrive plain and ready to stick. Your name, photo and details appear on the digital card that opens when someone taps it.

Can I return an NFC sticker?

Yes. Unprinted stickers can be returned within 7 days of delivery if they’re unused, undamaged and in their original packaging. Unless the sticker is faulty, you pay to send it back and the original delivery fee isn’t refunded.
