Bamboo NFC card questions

Is this a wooden business card?

Yes — it’s what most people call a wooden NFC business card. Bamboo is cut and finished like wood and has a natural grain, although botanically it’s a grass. Your name and title are engraved into it, and an NFC chip inside opens your Cardly.ae digital card.

Why does bamboo cost more than PVC?

Bamboo is a natural material, and each card is engraved rather than printed. The NFC chip, the digital card and the features are the same on every Cardly.ae card, so the difference in price pays for the material and the engraving, not for extra functions.

Will my card look exactly like the preview?

Not exactly. The preview shows the layout — your name and title on the front — but bamboo grain and colour vary naturally, so your card will have its own pattern. Once your payment is confirmed, you approve a proof of the layout before we engrave it.

Can I have my company logo engraved?

Yes. Upload your logo once your payment is confirmed, when you approve your card design, and it’s engraved in place of your initials. Engraving marks bamboo in a single tone, so the proof shows your logo in one colour. For a fully custom design or a large team order, contact our sales team.

Can the card have a QR code too?

Yes. Switch on “Print a QR code on the back” when you order; on bamboo the code is engraved. It opens the same digital card as the NFC chip, so phones without NFC can scan it, and it follows the chip if you link it to a different digital card later.
