Dubai ended 2025 with 32,294 registered real-estate brokers — 13,083 of them new that year — working from 9,785 registered brokerage offices (Dubai Land Department, March 2026). In a market that crowded, clients remember the agent who is easiest to reach, easiest to verify and quickest to follow up.
This guide covers what a Dubai broker's business card should show — your BRN, your brokerage's ORN and, for any listing you promote, its Trakheesi permit — and a digital card setup you can build in about ten minutes.
Why a paper card isn't enough for a Dubai broker
- Clients meet many agents. A buyer can see several brokers over a weekend of viewings. Paper cards pile up; the agent who's one tap away on WhatsApp gets the call.
- Brokers change agencies. A move means new cards — and every client holding the old one has outdated details.
- Listings change daily. A printed card can't show what's available this week.
- Overseas buyers want reassurance. They look for a registration number, a real brokerage and a professional presence before sharing their budget.
A digital card solves all four: it opens WhatsApp in one tap, can be edited at any time, shows current listings and puts your credentials front and centre.
What to put on a real-estate agent's digital business card
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Name in Arabic and English | Clients from across the region and the world can read it |
| Title and brokerage, with logo | Signals you're part of a real, established office |
| BRN (broker registration number) | Lets clients verify you — keep it exactly as on your broker card |
| Your brokerage's ORN (office registration number) | Identifies the office you work for; clients can search it in the DLD's broker directory |
| Mobile with WhatsApp | Most UAE property conversations happen on WhatsApp |
| Office phone, email and address | For formal enquiries and document exchange |
| Featured listings (3–6) | Photos, short names that include the permit number, AED prices and links to the permitted listing |
| “Request a viewing” form | Captures name, phone and a message (such as the preferred time), with consent |
| Social links | Where you post property tours and market updates |
| Map to your office | Makes it easy to visit for paperwork |
Dubai rules for broker cards and property ads
We checked the rules below against Dubai Land Department (DLD) sources on 28 September 2026. They can change, so confirm the current requirements with the DLD and your brokerage before you publish.
- BRN and ORN. Your BRN (broker registration number) identifies you as an individual registered broker; your brokerage's ORN (office registration number) identifies the office you work for. Clients can look both up in the DLD's licensed brokers directory, which searches by broker, office, mobile number, area and ORN. Show your BRN exactly as it appears on your broker card, and update it if it changes.
- Every property ad needs a Trakheesi permit. Real-estate companies in Dubai must apply for an advertising permit through the DLD's Trakheesi system before publishing any real-estate ad, and must put the permit number in the ad (Dubai Land Department, October 2020). Permits are issued through the DLD's Real Estate Ad Permit service.
- Madmoun QR codes. Each ad permit comes with a Madmoun QR code, and since 24 April 2023 real-estate companies must show it on print and audiovisual ads so buyers can check that the ad is approved (Dubai Land Department, April 2023).
- What that means for your card. Treat any listing you show on your card as a property ad: add its permit number to the listing's name, or link only to listings that are already permitted — for example your brokerage's listing page, which shows the permit number and QR code.
- Abu Dhabi is different. Abu Dhabi brokers are licensed by the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC), whose Madhmoun platform issues advertising permits there (ADREC, July 2026). Despite the similar name, it is a separate system from Dubai's Madmoun QR code, so follow each emirate's regulator.
- Personal data needs consent. When clients share their details through your card, they tick a consent box and that consent is stored with the lead. Use their details for the follow-up they asked for — nothing else.
Not legal advice — confirm the current requirements with the DLD before you publish.
Make WhatsApp one tap away
In the UAE, WhatsApp is the default channel for property conversations. On a Cardly.ae card, switch on WhatsApp for your mobile number and the card shows a WhatsApp button that opens a chat with you directly — no saving the number first, no typos in +971 numbers. Respond from WhatsApp Business if you use it, and keep chats professional: share listings on request, not as unsolicited broadcasts.
Show listings that are always current
Add a Products block with three to six properties you're actively marketing: a photo, a short name (“2 BR · Dubai Marina”), the price in AED and a link to the full, permitted listing or brochure. The card shows the photo, name and price, so a permit number is visible only if you put it in the name. Names are cut after two lines, so put the permit number first and keep the rest short. When a unit is sold or rented, remove it — the change is live immediately on every NFC card and QR code you've handed out.
Capture viewing requests — and follow up fast
Add a lead form titled “Request a viewing” with name, phone and message. Every submission lands in your Cardly.ae leads inbox, marked with the date and source (NFC tap, QR scan or link), and you get an email alert (alerts pause after 20 leads in 24 hours). Move each lead through simple stages — new, contacted, qualified, won or lost — and export to CSV if your brokerage uses a CRM.
Speed matters: reply within minutes when you can. A client who just tapped your card at a viewing is still thinking about the property.
Serve Arabic- and English-speaking clients
Dubai's property market is international, and many clients prefer Arabic. With Cardly.ae, one card holds both languages: clients tap to switch, and Arabic displays properly right-to-left. Write your title, bio and listings in both languages — it's a small effort that signals respect and professionalism.
Which NFC card should a broker carry?
| Card | Price | Why brokers choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Metal | AED 249 | Premium feel at viewings; durable for years |
| PVC | AED 99 | Affordable for a whole team; printed with brokerage branding |
| NFC sticker | AED 49 | On your phone case, so your card is always with you |
All are one-time purchases, made to order and dispatched within 1–3 working days, then delivered in the UAE — Express arrives the next working day after dispatch in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Compare the market in our NFC business card price guide.
For brokerages: one brand, shared leads
Brokerages with three or more agents can use Cardly.ae Teams (AED 180 per seat per year, minimum 3 seats):
- Locked brand template so every agent's card matches the brokerage.
- Central leads from every agent's card, exportable to CSV.
- Member management: add new agents in minutes and remove leavers in one click.
- Simple offboarding: when an agent leaves, remove them in one click and their card is detached from your brokerage’s team.
See Teams or Cardly.ae for real-estate agents.
